October 8th, is closing in on us here in Tyler, Texas. The benefit for Patsy Garrett, Bobby Garrett's widow in shaping up very nicely. We have confirmed the use of the Caldwell Auditorium for this event and it seats 1750 people. Very good parking areas.

ALL proceeds from this event will go to Patsy Garrett. We already have players who have contacted us with regards to being part of this worthy cause.

The benefit will start at 7:00 PM and continue to ???????.

Anyone interested in this event can contact me by email or call me at 903-825-7580 ( evenings after 7 PM CST will be best since so much of my time is taken during the day).

I am sure we will have great players with us that night. Jr Knight may very well have a special treat for all of us.

A SPECIAL NOTE:::::::::::::

This promises to be a "killer show" as I hear several great players have been contacted to perform.
Look for this to be a major event.

Yes, I'll be there but I'm more of a "crippeler" player, than "killer". I'm looking forward to it and understand it will be the first in a long line of shows put on by some very nice people. Thanks for asking me!

Thanks for the response Bobbe.

I am looking forward to meeting you and hearing you play at the show. We are going to have a blast for a very worthy cause here in Tyler.

You haven't heard a CRIPPLER until you hear me.

With advance notice, there will be transportation provided to and from the airport if requested. Call Ron and he will make the arrangements. I can also help. My number is 903-825-7580

Bobbe.....I'll come if you will let me carry your footpedal onstage (for anything heavier there will be a slight fee)...it will give me an opportunity to shake your hand and hear you play, both of which has alluded me thus far!

By the way Charles, isn't Tyler where the famous "RANGERETTES" used to be? Gene Jones www.genejones.com

Ralph Mooney, Bobbe S. and myself are staying at the Holiday Inn in Tyler. I don't know about the others but suspect they will all be there at H.I.if they spend the night. Jody Sanders is driving back home the same night.Some of us are too old for that. The # for Holiday Inn is 903-593-3600.You might speak to Chris Rogers to see if there are any special rates. Regards, fred
