Tomorrow night the 19'th I'll be at Casey's, located on Sherman Way 1/2 block west of Topanga Canyon in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, CA. It's a great band!Dr. Woody James-Trumpet, George Edwards-Drums,Richard Maloof-Acoustic Bass, Lloyd Hebert-Piano & Trombone. I'm playing Steel,Banjo & Guitar. If anyone has a chance, Come On Bye!! We're there every Thursday night. Come up and say hello. Ps. Drinks are cheap & there's a real variation in the age of the crowd, 21-to 80 and a lot of good Music. See ya, Al

I urge everybody who lives within a reasonable driving distance to see this remarkable band, Al, who plays a single neck C6, is one of the finest players I've ever seen. He is easily up there in the same league as Buddy and Curly and Reece, and this band gives him a chance to show what the steel can do in a jazz setting. |

'Wish I could be there and hear you Al. I have another boat gig in January to the Caribbean again--glad I'm not there now! Isidore is raising hell. Tony Cianciola brought me some tapes that you made on WMC with Gene Steele: you were Top Notch then, but Look at You Now! 'Don't guess I've heard you since your last album. Take care, your friend, Hugh |
