guys -
chill out, and re-read tom's beginning post on this thread.
this is not a personality contest.
if it were, maurice would be a slam dunk... he is a fine player, and a very nice guy. and yet, he has made mistakes. he has totally admitted this by the msa resolution process!
it it were, bradshaw would be on probation (big smile!)... he is a very generous man of much integrity who has also made mistakes. he has admitted he went over the top. again, that doesn't invalidate facts that are not disputed by anybody:
- people lost money with the old msa.
- the new msa has said they're going to make it right.
what are you doing to move things forward?
how will your post help move everybody toward final resolution?
if you have a problem with someone in this thread, or on this forum, take it to private email...
most of us have NOT known these guys for 40 years. i suggest that we listen to those who have.
peace.

Bobbe and Tommy: please take your disagreement to email, or to Bobbe's forum.
I'd delete this topic, but I want people to see Tom's message at the top. Can we agree not to use it to slam each other?

Much to the dissapointment of several people, Tommy and I have no problems. If he doesn't like what I say, he just comes over and punches me in the nose. He just lives a mile away. Tommy is like a brother to me, we fight all the time but would do anything for each other. I've only known him since he was 12 years old. I was only 3 at the time. And fifteen years is a long time. (oh boy)
Bobby Lee, We both respect your forum and we promise to pick on each other in other areas where other people won't get upset with us. Tommy is still as wonderful a steel player as I have ever heard. Tommy is on all my albums (except "Price-less", he was busy) and he's invited to be on any in the future.
We never fight in the studio!
Is he a good friend? You bet.
Tommy and I both deleted portions of our post because we wanted too! We can if we want to. It's a privelidge that this forum offers and we decided to take advantage of it. If this makes anyone angry, then it's their problem.Thank goodness we can and did.
I feel Mr. Bradshaw and Mr. Anderson deserve to have this thread to themselves without a lot of stupid and silly nonsense going on around this wonderful thing they are doing to end this 30year feud. They both have my best wishes, choose sides? There isn't but one side anymore, the side of peace and tranquility. The biggest fight in the steel guitar world is over, let's all bask in it. I think it's great.
Let's not start another to replace it.

Bob Carlson, nice post, sorry to leave you hanging with a response to a post that isn't there any more. This is part of the danger you can get into when you respond to a post that has the chance of changing colors.
Sometimes it may be good for one to reserve judgments untill all facts are in, not that I'm trying to preach, teach, or put you down in anyway. I'm sure you have your reasons for your post.
I wish you the best Bob. |
