JUST BOUGHT MY FOURTH STEEL ,A D-8. WHAT IS IT WHICH TAKES OVER A REASONABLE HUMAN BEING, WHEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE EVERY STEEL YOU SEE. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE
SUFFERS FROM THIS AFFLICTION OR ADDICTION. IS THERE A STEEL GUITAR ADDITION CLINIC.
JUST KIDDING ,,THIS STEEL WAS BUILT
BY PEDALMASTER FOR A FRIEND WHO PASSED
AWAY YEARS AGO ,J.W. PELSI.THE DAY BE PICKED IT UP MANY YEARS AGO ,HE STOPPED
BY AND SHOWED IT OFF. J.W. WAS AN INFLUENCE ON ME.I HOPE I DO IT JUSTICE. _________________ SUPRO---MAN

Hello Pete,
The only known intervention that will arrest the inevitable degeneration and degradation of a man who is deep in the throes of a serious pedal steel guitar addiction and buying frenzy is the bizarre and drastic implementation of a thing called "a wife". Unfortunately, once you have started on a regular protocol of "wife", you must maintain the protocol daily with love and joy until forever.

Pete, is that the light green/teal color steel? I took JW's place with Donny Broussard and LA stars. We played twin steels about two weeks before he passed he taught me alot cause I was playing fiddle over his left shoulder for about 3 years, and thats a good steel take care. When I was married(was)! I kept switchin' cases around. "Oh, Hon! I've had this guitar for years! Look how dusty this old case is." Never let them know! They're easily confused. Well, they're easily confused if you have enough cases. So,,, buy some extra empty cases, and then fill them up. |

Actually it's true. My music room is getting a bit congested and I'm not sure she'd even notice an addition at this point. |

Women spend on average $75.00 for a pair of shoes. If the average amount spent on a steel guitar is $1500.00 then I'm short two steels. Twenty pairs of shoes = One steel. Most of the time shoes cannot be purchased without a "handbag". At about $25.00 each, twenty handbags = one amplifier. Contents required to fill the hanbag = new volume pedal, tone bar. picks, etc. |

Guys; This being our 50th Anniversary, The lovely spouse asked what I would like to buy myself for an anniversary present; I had wanted a new steel for some time; knew this was the time to go for it. Bought a new 2007 Stageone Zum from Doug Earnst in Branson. It's a nice little guitar for me to practice on; my live GIGS are in retirement, at the moment. My old Harlin Bros. which I've owned since 1953 [ bought it new ]. took into my possession a S-10 Sierra back in the 80's; a great guitar; and a couple of years ago, I got foolish and bought a 1967 Show-Bud; a cross-over, but a really nice looking guitar for its age. But way too heavy for me to even pick up, any more. And I own a lap top and my Sho-Bro Resonator guitar which I purchased from the man, himself, Mr Shot Jackson. Don't have room for any more.. Am I addicted?? Ihave the same problem, I have four so the front room is getting a wee bit cramped, solved it .Loaned one to my daughter put one permantly set up in daves studio one in the front bedroom leaving just one and the pa etc downstairs. That will cover me until the next steel comes thru the door later in the year it will be a "rains"D10 in sunburst.Does anybody make a steel hanger so they can be hung on the wall like some people hang there guitares.?.Keith white.uk. _________________ Sho-Bud 'LDG', Sho-Bud 'The Professional', Rains SD10, Fessenden D10, Hilton Pedal, Peavey Session 500, Peavey 112, Lots of PV PA, And of course, the BJS Bar (for the best tone)! Hi Pete: I'm one of the old time steelers whom thought there were only two make of steels; One-- a sho- bud and Two: an Emmons; since joining the SGF I've discovered there are several make of guitars made. What is a " SUPRO " and whom are they made by..?? Is that lovely green [ Turchoise ] one your D-10 Supro? A beautiful guitar, indeed..Thanks..Bernie _________________ 2007 Zum S-10; 1967 Sho-Bud [ D-10 ]; 85 S-10 Sierra; 1953 Multi-Kord [ 6 String- 4 pedals ] A Sho-Bro six String Resonator Guitar; Nashville 112 Amp; hilton Vol. Pedal |
