A steeler friend of mine who is in the Army made this for me and is making a few more. I think it's cool, and you don't have to deface the amp, as it uses the top corner guard screw, made of stiff aluminum.
I think I paid about $30.00 for it.

I don't think any one-person would have enough time to supply protectors for all of the 112's out there! And the number of existing units seems to be growing every day! _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

My testing of a similar design did not fair as well in a "face-plant" knock over situation as my current model Knob Guard does, but hey it's your amp, just do something to protect the knobs.

I think one or two more evenly-spaced screws on top should strengthen it enough to avoid any flex during a fall! “It will all come out in the wash”! _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

It would be good if Peavey would take the hint and start making the amp cabinets accordingly, like the older amps like the LTD 400, Session 400, etc. I guess there was a reason for the cut-out along the top front edge, but it seems hazardous to knobs, for sure. _________________ Steeless. |

Make sure those 1 or 2 extra screws do not go through the top of the cabinet and cause a problem in the electronics. That is why my Knob Guard mounts to the front edge of the amp top, and so that impact in a face plant does not snap off the screw head with the edge of the hole in the guard its self.
