Norma Jean, Virgil, Donley & Larry - are you guys and lady OK after Thursday night's storms? We heard there was damage to your area. Give us a shout to let us know. This goes for Zelpha too, Norma Jean.

Lynn.....although you didn't ask me , I drove through the neighborhoods yesterday and saw a lot of damage. In fact , I saw pictures of the same homes on national news this morning....CNN and Fox. One young 15 yr old female was killed when a tree came through the roof of her home...AND...I understand that a 5 yr old had also died but they were waiting to tell the parents before breaking the news to the public.
The homes at my Manufactured Home dealership sustained no damage whatsoever and for that , of course , I'm grateful. So , all in all , we (some of us) dodged a bullet. It can always be worse. |

Thanks for replying, Larry. I knew about the young girl. The child adds to this tragedy. We're so thankful you and yours are good. We wondered about Vance and Lila too, but I think the storms went south of their area of Benton County.

No damage here. We were out of town playing music up in northern Mo. and Iowa. Had rain and strong winds up that way but no damage. KC had lots of damage though. Thanks for thinking of us. Vance and Lila |

Lynn, thanks for being concerned. I did get trees down and my vinyl fence destroyed. Was out of electricity for a day but these were just materialistic things. The community is doing a lot of differnet things to help the family of the 15 year old girl that was killed. She was a sophomore in school. I have been in Houston at the MD Anderson hospital with my brother. See ya Sunday. |

The SSSGC is meeting this Sunday? We didn't know, since it's Mother's Day.
We lost one third of a huge Sugar Maple tree to last night's storm. What a mess! Thankfully it was in the back area of our yard, away from the house.
Sorry about your little picket fence, but at least your house was spared.
Vance and Lila, thanks for getting back to me too.

Hi Lynn,
We only had a few limbs broken but no other damage. Our power was off for about 10 hours. We consider ourselves fortunate, especially considering what others went through. I'm slowly getting stronger and should be able to come to the SSSGC meeting tomorrow, at least for a while.

Hi, Larry. We plan to be at the meeting too, for a while. It will be good to see everyone again.
Glad you're getting better.
