| I'm geting ready to get a new amp. What do you guys and gals think about the NV 1000. And what is the weight. I'm useing a Mosvalve power and tube fex now, but the tube fex needs work and I'm trying to decide if I should fix the fex or get a NV 1000. Gotta watch the weight as I'll be 70 soon. Thank you BOB |

Bob,
The Nash 1000 is a heavyweight.
Why do'nt You have a look at the Nash 112? It has the same pre amp and has had great reviews from just about everyone,lighter too.
I traded My 1000 for a 112 and have never regretted it.

Bob while the NV1000 is heavier than the NV112, it also has a lot more power -- so the thing you should consider is what type of gig do you normally play, and how much grunt are you going to need!
I can vouch for the NV1000 because that's what I usually use, driving it with a Revelation Preamp. |

I use one all the time.(my only amp) 
I sold my two Nashville 112s and got a Nashville 1000. The Nashville 112 is a great little steel amp, but if you happen to play outside, it just lacks the BODY that the Nashville 1000 has. If you decide to get a 1000, I recomend you get one with the Burr Brown chips installed.(see the thread over on amps etc for sale). The burr brown chips just gives it a warmer sound, kinda takes the shrill out of the highs. I put casters on my 1000 and can roll it most of the time.

I have both, a 1000 and a 112, but the 1000 only "collects dust" and is kept as a backup amp in case the 112 would have a problem.
But, I don't play anywhere that requires playing extremely loud (i.e. the current "rock country" ).
Road jobs have either been small venues or miked at big shows so the 112 is more than adequate.
At age "39" smaller and lighter is better. |

I sold my NV1000. I never cared much for the tone out of it.
I did keep my NV400 as a backup for my NV112.
Get the NV112, it is a great amp and I've never used anything else since I bought it.
I did have a malfunction with it after three years and I'm now waiting for it's return from Peavey. It's still under warrantee and a great amp. |

| It just show that we are all getting older. At this time, the Nashville 1000 and Nashville 112 amplifiers are the lighter in weight than any steel amp that we have designed in the past. We're just getting older, that's all! |

| I use a Nashville 1000 with the Burr Brown chips, Eminence KappaLite 3015 Neodymium 15". The weight is comparable to the NV 112 but with lot more power. I'm very happy with the warm, deep sound it gets. |
