My favorite lap is my Electar which has a scale length of 22 and 3/8ths.

My Dobro has a scale length of 24 and 3/4s.

My Vega is 22 and 7/8s.

It seems hard for me to play my slants in tune going from one guitar to the next. Is this common?

Do y'all try to stick to one scale length?

Thanks,

Mark

Maybe scale length is not the right term, I'm not sure.
But, I measure from nut to bridge.

Nut to bridge is correct. And yes, I think that most people do find it easier to to have all their guitars at one scale length. But I do ok with a 23 electric and a 25 acoustic. I do have to admit, though, that I'm very single string oriented.

That's just something you will get used to over time.
Almost like string spacing on various guitars being different.
