Hey Folks,
Looks like our next jam session will be on May 3, 2008. We will start around 10:00AM getting tuned up and get down to some serious playing around noon.
This is the same organization that used to be called the Central Oklahoma Pedal Steel Guitar Association, with a lot of the original players as well as many more. Don’t really have a name I guess, but a name doesn’t make a good jam session anyway.
We have grown some so we relocated the jam session to the Country & Western Museum located at 3925 SE 29th, Del City, OK.
I do hope you can attend, even if only to listen to some great playing. Coffee will be on as well as some lemonade so please come join us. |

There have been alot of people working the phones and the internet to get this thing off the ground. We are growing fast! Thanks everyone for everything. This group is giving new players(like myself)in our area a great chance to develop playing skills, as well as contacts in the steel world. This has never been available in this area, to the degree that it is right now. So new players young and old take advantage of the work these gentelman have put into this Jam Club. If you have never seen 15+ Pedal Steels set up as well as a full band, Wow it is a wonderous site!!!!!!!
Thanks again guys for doing this for us. _________________ Sho-bud 6139 with 3 pedals and knee lever lowers E's 1/2 step

Hi Ken, I just saw your posting for the Jam next Saturday, and it needs to be bumped to the top so it wont be missed.
The "Country & Western Museum" located at 3925 SE 29th, Del City, OK, will be a great place for the meeting. Everyone in the Oklahoma City area recognizes it as the home of the former "Oklahoma Country Music Association", and many C&W events throughout the years.
Ken is to be commended for his efforts in hosting this event. Attendance at previous meetings have been good, and the backup band is a great group of working musicians whose talents will encourage the steel players to do their best.
Come on out and enjoy the fellowship and music. |
