I am having trouble finding a chart for string gagues and open tunings. I have found lots for the standard lap steel tunings like C6 ect. but none for the open tunings. I will be tuning to Open D and Open G for now. Could someone recomend the string gagues? I'm using a steel neck D-12 Ricky so heavy string will not be a problem

I use these for open D and lo-bass G on lap steels and "redneck" stratocaster...about the same gages that you'd use on a squareneck Dobro...
