Are you referring to the one by Bobby Goldsboro? Go to www.stlyrics.com. Under the artist section, click on "B". That'll bring up all names beginning with "B". Scroll on down to Bobby Goldsboro. There are 2 entries, click on one. "Honey" should be on the list.

Tony...I just retraced my steps: This website has things goofed up! There's a "Bobby Goldsboro" listing, then underneath it there's a "Bobby Golodsboro" listing. If you click on the first one (correct spelling), then click on "Honey", a different song appears. But if you click on "It's Too Late", the lyrics to Honey appear. Now if you go to the "Golodsboro" listing and click on "Honey", the correct song appears. And I thought the web makes things easier!

I got two songs mixed up. Barry has "the Honey Song" I had gotten the Massey author with the the wrong tune!
The tune titled "Honey" was the other one and according to my old fake book is from 1928 and credits Whiting & 2 others. I wonder if that might be Margaret Whiting's dad? The Honey Song was from 1942.

I am not totally sure, but I am reasonably sure that my first time to hear a steel player was hearing Bobby Seymour playing "Honey".
Maybe James would know.

Tony,
Buddy Merle had this song on one of his albums. I think its the one with the close-up shot of him with a P/P if I'm not mistaking.
