Bonnie and I are in Nville on business this weekend but found a few minutes to take a walk downtown last night. Low and behold we walk by the WHEEL and there is Randy Beavers pickin' on stage with James Mitchell ! Randy told us he was filling in for Mike Sweeney. Kool gig, James Mitchell on Tele' is really making Randy work and Randy is right there .

Not sure if we can go back tonight but maybe.

6 to 10 again Sat night ( 4/26 ) at the Wheel, it's across the Street from Legends on Broadway if you happen to be in town.

Go say hey to Randy...

Hey Tony, it was great getting to see you and Bonnie. It's always good when you see someone walk in that you know. The job was a blast to do! This was the first time I've worked with some of these players, and I was holding on for dear life! It's amazing the level of players you can walk in and see down on Broadway.

Thanks to Mike Sweeney for letting me sub for him this weekend. I don't know what all was going on in town this weekend but there was a big pile of people downtown.

Oh yea, the car was still there at the end of the night. Very Happy

I want to thank Randy for " holding down the fort" while I was in Fulton, Miss. this weekend. I knew I left the gig in more than capable hands.
Randy will also be subbing for me next Friday night May 2nd and Saturday of the following week May 10. I also think Randy is subbing at the Wheel next Saturday May 3rd from 2:00 till 6:00 for Jay Andrews.
Thanks again Randy.

Randy, is was great to see you, sorry we had to leave so early Sat, it was just way too long of a day and Sunday 7am was coming way to fast. Great Tele' picker on Sat night too...you guys really had it working.

Glad your car was still there, I waved to it as we drive past it !

Tony,

I'm in town here 99.9% of the time. I don't want folks to think I ain't still here. So come on in everyone it's a great band even with my same ol', same ol' playing in it.

Hey for you guys that haven't heard Mike or Randy play either on CD's or live don't let either one of them pull your leg. I can promise you that Randy didn't have any problems keeping up with James last weekend subbing for Mike in any catagory and Mike knows so many hot licks that google can't even catalog them they are looking for more server space to back them all up hehhee!

Anytime you get a chance to hear either one of them do yourself a favor go and do it. I haven't heard Randy live but I've heard his session work and trust me he's the cream of the crop and Mike well I could tell many stories about him but I better not LOL

Keep up the good work guys!

Big Bob
