Many thanks for your musical posts, especially the backup tracks. I play nonpedal, but of course the tracks work for any instrument. |

I would bet that Greg's site is one of the most visited tab sites.

Thanks a whole bunch guys! The site started out as a way for me to document things so I wouldn't forget them. Kinda like playing all night and forgetting that I didn't use pedal 4 at all. This instrument just seems endless!
I'm gonna try to post a tune tomorrow in the Steel Players section that uses the C6 lap steel on two verses, Gary. It also has PSG and some (gasp) distortion. It's a Blues song with some hard rock riffs tagged onto the end of it so it won't be everyone's cup of tea! I plan on tabbing out the lap steel parts for that next.
I really appreciate the positive feedback on the site! If it continues I know I'll have to get into video. I am looking at a 3 camera setup, one on the picking hand, one on me for instruction and one on the fretboard. Just want to be able to keep the audio quality high as in the past.
Thanks for listening to the old stuff... those sounds never get old for me!

Mr Greg,
I also want to thank you for your work, dedication, and expertise in bringing these tabs, and tracks to us 'wannabes'. You are providing a valuable tool, and service to the players..irregardless of their skill level.
I just wish I could manage to play a small portion of the material you present.I know it is time consuming, and labor intensive, but I hope you continue your service. You have certainly gained the respect and admiration of many, many fans and players.
Kudos to you for an admirable job. Thanks again...

Bent, I forgot all about recording the song you mentioned. Guess I've been doing this too long now.
Jake, Rob And Penny: Thanks for tuning in! A few days ago I was learning a new lick from someone on YouTube. Between all these tabs and YouTube there is so much great material that we would never all get through it. Hopefully, some of us still play out and use this stuff in real bands. I don't play out much anymore... to lazy to haul all this stuff around.
I got a new version of a Hank song coming out next week with lap steel, E9th and C6th. There's a few riffs on lap steel that almost sound creative!
