I was in a local junk shop today looking at guitars. The owner told me he was possibly buying a "metal bodied" Slingerland guitar from 1938. Is this some resophonic I hadn't heard about? My search on the 'net didn't turn up anything.
Any info on what it might be and what it might be worth would be appreciated. _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

They did make some reso guitars. I have only seen wood body ones. They look very cool but that is all I know

The ones I've seen look like resonators but actually have no cone, just a metal cover on what is essentially just a wooden acoustic guitar. Kind of a "fake" resonator. |

Yeah I've seen those "faux-bro's" a couple of times. They actually don't sound terrible, but not a keeper unless you just want it for your collection. |
