I just listened to Jack Green do his version of Night Life and throughout the song the keyboard and the lead guitar did their version (even on the break) and all the time Tommy White was at his Carter and not given even a chance to throw in a few "blues" chords. Needless to say I am not listening to the opry at this time. Do you other steelers feel the same?

Glenn: I watched it on TV and while they did wait until the very end to give him a ride, Tommy blew it away with a bar dance that will have dobro pickers heading for the woodshed to learn how to do what he did. It wasn't what I'd have prefered for a Night Life arrangement but he did do it his way and so did Tommy. The regular riffs were there throughout the song with a lot of harmony work from the lead guitar. I'd like to think Jack Green did not want to detract from the Price original and simply copy it.

Glen,
I gotta agree with you. I can't believe Tommy didnt get to play. I got mad and turned it off.

I too was very mad at first. I didn't even see Tommy until towards the end of the song. I felt like turning it off too, but Jack Greene is one of my favorite singers. Luckily I stayed tuned 'cuz Tommy done tore it up when he got to finally play. That Tommy fellow is just too d@mn good.
Next time maybe he will try it using his finger tips instead of a bar. He could probably do it
