600 series, 7 & 4. Plays awesome, sounds awesome. This is by far the nicest guitar I've owned!

Brian,
Great looking guitar. Williams has a great following. Do you know the approximate weight?

Thanks, Terry Hickey

I'd say right round 30 lbs which is great considering my GFI S10 Ultra was around 25 - 28lbs. I'm basically speechless about Williams, Bill is making some amazing stuff!

Are you thinking about getting one Terry?

Hey Brian, Congratulations on buying one of the best designed Steels on the market. You will love that 600 style changer...it is way ahead of the others, IMHO. Bill has the patent on that changer. I've had my Williams 600 since last July and have yet to break any strings. The Williams 600 changer has less bending at the changer, hence less string breakage. Another good design point is that the ball end of the string threads through a hole instead of attaching to a pin...those pins do break, I had one break on my Sho-Bud....also installing strings is so much easier...what a great improvement!...Brian, good luck with your Willy.

Hello Brian,
Nice guitar. I assume this is a universal? Looks like you are also a sax player? I have had my Willy 600 series less than a year, play it almost every day. Enjoy!

Thanks guys, I'm really enjoying it already. Larry - you're right, it is a universal (which I'm still trying to get some more of the B6th stuff going). I'm not a sax player, my wife is. The great thing is she bought a really nice pro level sax so I was "allowed" to ge the willy! She even paid the deposit! What a lady!

I'll let you know if I break any strings in the near future. Cool

Brian, Not only do you know how to pick the right Steel, you know how to pick the right lady which is probably more important.

Brian, I've not seen too many formica bodied Williams since Bill Rudolph does wonders with his lacquer steels. Your guitar stands out beautifully! I know it will sound great and also play well. Enjoy it! steve t

Williams makes beautiful guitars. I fell in love with that lacquer he had in Dallas. I'm curious about the pedals, it looks like three of them are black.

Thanks guys! I really did want to try something a little different as far as the looks of the guitar, hence the white mica. I always liked those white MSA guitars!!

Howard, I think the three pedals look black because of the way the light is hitting the guitar. They're all polished! Very Happy

Hey Mack. When I bought my Willy last year from Bill, he warned me not to spend too much time with it...Willy's are very dangerous Steels to own because they have been known alienate affections..be careful...LOL
