For sale>> An 8 string National Electric Hawaiian, and a Silvertone Artist. The National is sometimes referred to as a New Yorker, but these early models were called the Electric Hawaiian. Somebody please correct me if this is incorrect info..... The National has some wear, the Silvertone is in excellent condition. Both guitars sound great, and the pickups are strong. The volume pot is scratchy on the National, but I just leave it open, and there's never a problem. The case for the Silvertone is not original, and is actually for a later period National, I believe.... it's a tight fit, but ti works. Reasonable offers accepted.

Hello. How much are you asking for the National? Also, what is the serial # on the end of the headstock (to the nearest hundred)? Thanks. |

Hi Steven,
Your National 8-string is a 1938-39 model, and it was called the New Yorker by then.
The case for the Silvertone is a New Yorker case - as I have a 1937 New Yorker that is missing its case - would you consider selling this case only (and perhaps reunite and old New Yorker with its original case! )? That would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanks for the info Fred. The Silvertone has been happily living in the case for sometime now.. it hasn't given me reason to evict it... |
