Hello,
Can anyone tell me how the ohms of a pickup relates to the sound? My Mullens are 26.9 on both necks.
Thanks, Ken

A vast generalization is that the higher the number, the hotter/louder the pickup is with more midrange. But this can be misleading. Check out http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/faq/ for more info than you probably want...

On a Mullen single coil pickup, I believe there is more than just the windings around the bobbin. I believe there are some other components under the windings, which would probably affect the measurement of ohms on your meter.

I may be wrong, but the ohms is determined only by the resistance of the wire in the windings. James
