I'm looking for a horizontal stand that I can use with several guitars as needed in a stand-up mode -- a strat with "redneck" conversion, Oahu student model, several different dobros. I want something that folds up and travels easy. Any recommendations?

Music 123 and Musician's Friend both carry keyboard stand that works very well. You can see it here Click Here
I put a piece of pine shelving on the top and lay a folded towel or sheepskin pad on top of the wood. It works very well for my lap steels and makes a dandy work area for changing strings and working on other instruments.

An interesting choice that was suggested years ago here, was to simply convert an old folks 'walker' into a workable/portable stand.
