Im looking to maybe buy one or two of these pickups anyone have them on there guitar any input would be nice. this is a new pickup that emmons guitar sales |

Joseph, I had pentad pickups on a 1980's Emmons short keyhead, and loved the tone I got. At the time I had that guitar, there were several posts from steel players that didn't like the Pentads for some reason or another. But I really like them on my shorty. As far as being a "new" pickup, it must be a newer model of Pentad, because Emmons have been making Pentads for quite a while.

Terry well I didnt know they were making them that long its a 5 position pickup is that what you had? for the price they are one would think they were a new design lol |

Joseph,
They were designed by Ron, Sr, so they've been around for a while.
I have them on both necks of my 1979 D10 push/pull and they sound great on it.
Of course, your mileage may vary. It's all a matter of personal taste.

Yea Joeseph, mine were 5 position also, a lot of different tones in one pickup. And your right, they are pricy for sure!!
