have you been unable to make MP3's because you used up your allowance? that happened to me when I was using Audacity.
someone sent me an MP3 patch that allows you to make as many as you want seemingly forever.
I have sent the patch to others that have run out and found me.
if you ever get in a similar situation I can send you the patch. it is in a compressed exe. file. it works great. I test out my mixes very often by making an MP3 and listening with different speakers.
anyway, just wanted to throw this offer out there.
it's free. |

Jack. when I first bought my digital interface I saw that I could export to MP3. Steinberg and Lexicon made that possible as freeware in the pkg. >>I assume.
anyway, there was a finite amount of mp3s one could make. you had to buy the upgrade. Steinberg no longer offers that. I posted on a web site about that and someone who had bought the extension patch contacted me.
they had bought the patch for 15 dollars and it entitled them to an infinate amount of mp3 making.
this person sent me the patch free. he asked that I pass it along to others.
the patch works. I have made tons of mp3's.
it is an exe, file that I can forward to anyone's email address.

The Audacity website has a comment about SPACE all used up, I could not see anything related to MP3 files exceeding there limit though, perhaps it is the SPACE thing, and that is related to the version , so they say. |

next time anyone goes to EXPORT and find they can no longer make an MP3. the patch will fix that.
I found that situation in Audacity. |

I don't use any of those programs, and don't do a lot of MP3's, and maybe that's why I never came across that or any problems.
I have the LAME encoder that I use with Goldwave and never had a problem with that. Otherwise I just use whatever is built into Vista (media center) for MP3 encodig and I don't think there is any limitations on that. |

Audacity utilizes the lame encoder.
Cubase LE is very often bundled with software pkgs. that has a limit for mp3's.I believe it is because of Steinberg.
I don't have Vista on my Windows XPS. I do have all kinds of programs in there for recording or managing music. I don't use them, except very rarely. |
