Larry, I showed this post to Jan. She was flattered and very appreciative of your comment, and sends her thanks!
She's a great singer, a terrific person, and a true legend. Nothin' but class. _________________ Scott Shipley Facebook |

I asked Jan and she said it was Ralph Mooney on steel, Gordon Terry on fiddle, and she thinks it might have been Pete Ash on piano. The year was 1959. _________________ Scott Shipley Facebook |

Dave, you're right. The youtube clip is from the Pete Drake production "...the life of a Country Girl Singer," from 1982. Session personnel included Pete Drake and Jimmy Crawford on steel, Pete Wade, Jimmy Capps, and Bill Hullett on guitars, Bob Moore on bass, Hayward Bishop and Jerry Kroon on drums, Tommy Williams on fiddle, and Jan and The Jordanaires on back-up vocals. Jan says thank you Dave for catching that, and howdy to Michael! _________________ Scott Shipley Facebook |
