John, I just got the guitar and it has a George L, marked "Sierra". I am not thrilled with hum-bucking pickups. The best compromise might be a BL712, I am told.

Just ordered a Jerry Wallace Truetone. That should fix the problem!

Hi Ken
I've got a truetone in my Sierra and I like it a lot. Playing through the NV400 with your mod installed I actually have to cut the highs back to about -6 (10 o'clock) but I'm getting a nice bright live tone. I find the midrange is a little different too but with some creative tweaking you get there eventually. I think you'll love it!

Thanks Ken, did you order it direct from Jerry or did have to get the box from Ken Baker?

A very nice clear tone, one of my favorite pickups. My old BL705 is my favorite! It is in my 1976 MSA.
