I'm just curios how many folks have recently purchased their first Rains Pedal Steel Guitar.

If you would like, I could add your name to the growing list of satisfied Rains Players on the myspace.

I've been a Rains player for over a year and a half now. I can honestly say getting a Rains Pedal Steel Guitar was the best thing that has ever happen to me.

I've had my Rains 2 years last January. Have changed the strings twice and have never broken one yet. Stays in tune better than any other steel that I've ever had. When I win the Laughing Lottery Laughing , I'm gonna order 10 of them and pass them around! Hey, if they're good enough for David Hartley, they gotta be the "Best" Ray

In the six or so months since mine arrived, I've become seriously convinced I'll never need to shop for another steel. Although this the first professional quality instrument I've played, it just keeps sounding better, the better I get on it.

I have had mine for two years. Best I have ever owned and string breakage is virtually nonexistent. Gary and Corky are the best!

What a great day..except for work of course. The UPS man brought my used "like new" Rains SD-10 to my door. WOW, this was Bill Simmons SD-10 Spirit model valley pecan finish...pearl inlays, franklin mods. This is a beauty. Thanks Bill..everything was in one piece and still in tune!!. Great packaging job. Going from a Carter Starter to this is quite a difference. The tone on this guitar is amazing. Not sure if I'll go to work tomorrow Cool.

Hey Brian, Bill and I got our Valley Pecan Rains Guitars the same day. Mine is the Ultimate model without the inlays but it has 4p's and 5k's. It's truly the best steel I've ever sat down to. I guess you could say you have my guitar's sister.

Brian...I'm so glad you like your new Rains! I sure hated to part with that one as it plays so smooth and with tone to die for. Crying or Very sad However, I really want to get a D-10 Rains.

Jim W...email me your telephone number and address to simmonslw@aol.com. I have a number of those white stickers you wanted so I will send them to you. You are right, you and I recieved our Rains the same day...

Picked up my new SD-10 with the Lawrence 705 pickup from Gary this morning. WOW, talk about susbstain. Tone to the bone all the way up the neck. It has a very smooth pedal and knee lever action.

The quality of workmanship on the Rains is outstanding. In my opinion, the Rains is an excellent investment at a reasonable price.

Yep, got mine last January. This is my first steel, a new black Rains SD-10 with the Lawrence 705. This bugger sings. Gary and Corky are good folk and are twenty minutes away (talk about lucky). My family and friends love it. It has a unique rich sound that sounds very "Texas" to me. I can't help but to play it every night. Good medicine.

Ollie,
As of my last conversation with Rains they have no plans to make a 12st guitar.
