This is my pick of the litter. I think this guy is one of the quiet secrets of the Dallas and Phoenix shows. He justs plays so well and consistent. The guitar in the photo was built by Frank as well. He is a master craftsman needless to say.

I have seen Frank at the Dallas for several years and never got a chance to meet him. I got his cd last year and I will say that he is second to none and don't have to take a back seat to anyone. |

Thanks for posting this Doug. So glad to see Frank getting this attention. A great player and really a nice guy!
And I can only echo what's already been said about his craftmanship. That PSG he built is a real beauty, with tone to the bone! _________________ Dave Wren

Dave, I am always happy to post something about Frank. I first heard him in Phoenix about five years ago and have been a fan ever since. I've had the privilege of viewing his craftsmanship on several guitars and have been awestruck by his attention to detail and the precision fit of the guitar hardware. |

I agree 100 per cent. It is always a pleasure to hear Frank play. But better yet to get to talk about Steel Guitar in general and building them especially. He is a very great resource and friend.
I just wish I had been the one to start this thread - Thanks for point out Mr. Frank _________________ Joe Naylor, Avondale, AZ (Phoenix) Announcer/Emcee owner www.steelseat.com *** OFFERING SEATS AND Effects cases with or without legs and other stuff ****** -Desert Rose Guitar S-10, Life Member of the Arizona Carport Pickers Assoc., Southwest Steel Guitar Assoc., Texas Steel Guitar Assoc., GA Steel Guitar Assoc., KS Steel Guitar Assoc. That guy looks as old as the hills, can he even hold a bar. Just kidding, Frank is a good friend and one hell of a player, he has tone to die for and a smile as big as Texas. Nice going Frank.

Even though Frank was raised in California he was born in East Texas. I'm trying to pursuade him to come back home.... |
