Hi All,
First, after having spent the night in hospital (swallen foot), I feel much better today and the swelling is going away. It seems that was due to
the Cholesterol medication I started taking 5 days ago.
Saturday evening, I found a midi file on the internet, I made a BT and played 2, sometimes 3 guitar lines that I added to it.

Hope you like it although it's not steel (maybe in 10 years from now).
I would love to hear Mr. Buck Reid version of it on steel. My guitar version would pale in comparison.

Abel, that sounded pretty cool, how's the lap steel comin along? Since your last video of "Teardrop" after only a few hours of playin your problably able to play anything by Jerry Byrd by now...  Oh, and thanks for sendin me the rhythm track for Teardrop. I was able to use it as a guide to make my own rhythm track with Band in a box. |

Hi All,
I feel much better now and the swelling is gone.
I stopped the medication and will start taking ...
Honey and Cinnamon (THEY say it's a miracle combination). We' ll see.
Glad you liked "American Bandstand".
I' d love to play this kind of tune with a steel player and alternate with him on harmonies, leads and
impros.
God willing, I' ll be going to watch Jim Eaton in Burbank on the 29th.
Anyone playing in L.A. ?. I was thinking of Jay Dee Maness. I know from the card he gave me that he lives very close to me. I would love to see him play
again. A very nice person too.

Who is Jerry Bird?. It's amazing how many incredible steel players are around.
The ones I discovered so far through this website and from Mike's L.A. Jam are:
Tommy White, Buck Reid, Lloyd Green, Paul Franklin, Buddy Emmons, John Hughey, Jay Dee Maness.
Am I missing some icons?.
Everytime I find a new player, he seems to be better than the previous one.
I never thought the fast guitar playing style was possible on Steel. I am in awe.
It's funny that I never listen to music or guitar, but now, I listen to ... Steel.
Glad you made good use of the "Tear Drop" BT.
