I have decided to sell my 1997 Fender USA Stratocaster Plus Deluxe guitar. It is in excellent condition. It has: a two-piece light ash body in blue-burst finish; maple neck with a slightly chunky profile; locking tuners, LSR roller nut, and Fender/Floyd locking bridge with heavy steel block. The locking system works great on this guitar: you can do extensive tremolo work and the guitar holds it pitch, very smooth action. It also retains the basic looks of a traditional Strat (the bridge is the same size as a standard Fender bridge). The guitar originally had a set of blue, silver, red Lace Sensor pickups, but it now has an excellent set of hand-made Cro-Mag '54 style pick-ups. The neck pickup is placed in position #3 on the switch so that it can be combined with the bridge pickup  . This guitar plays and works really nicely, and it has a very good traditional ash/maple tone. Except for the upgraded pickups the guitar is completely stock, no other mods, no repairs, no issues. I have it set-up for .010 string set with very little relief in the neck and the bridge floating about 1/8" off the body. Comes with the original molded HSC in good condition. I am looking to sell this guitar, but I would consider trades for acoustic lap or resophonc/resonator guitar, or Fender B-Bender Telecaster guitar. $800 plus shipping from southern California.
