My Pedalmaster bears a plaque that reads:
"Custom built by Pedalmaster for Ulysse Poirrer, Jr"

Just curious is all.
Thanks,
Joe

Surely do know him. Junior is a member of the Cajun Music Hall of Fame. One hell of a player and you cna probably find him, if he's still alive, in Southeast Louisiana, around New Iberia, or Lafayette.

That would explain the crawdad position markers and the weird G tuning on the back neck!

Any CDs out there with his playing?

Joseph Roy Thomas is the builder of that guitar now. I think he bought the name from a guy named Prine in Fort Smith Ark. Roy's shop phone no is 337-893-8917> I don't know if he works all the time or not.

I know Poirrer played with a band called the Louisiana Aces, and with Aldus Mouton and the Wandering Aces. You might try to find a Danny Brasseaux and The Cajun Express album. I lost mine in a fire but I know that's some of the guys he hung out with. Maybe someone else can help.

Hey Fred,
Thanks for the info. I'll try to track some of that music down.
I've had the occation to speak to Roy in the past and he is a standup guy.
Thanks,
Joe
