Ever notice how many songs contain the words, "Here I am?"
Hear I am:
I'm drunk again
again, Mixing mysery and gin
Rock me like a hurricane
walking down sixty six
in Dallas
How many others can you think of?

Lorreta Lynn had a good one by that name.
Add Amber Digby doing a great remake of LL's "Here I am with a man I hardly know."

Lyle Lovett has one on the "large band" record:

Lots of great steel elsewhere on the album, courtesy of Paul Franklin. Lyle has Jerry Douglas and Buck Reid playing on the new "It's not big, it's large" reprise. I haven't heard it yet, but I just ordered it now. |

Not totally related, but I've noticed that country songs tend to be about what one did "last night", whereas rockabilly songs tend to be about what one is going to do "tonight".....
