Wolfgang, I know you asked for E9th tab, but this MAY be of some help as it includes the middle section that most singers leave out.. :-

I do believe there are Nightingales and Roses in Hawaii, and so does Jack Lawrence the AMERICAN lyricist who wrote the words.

I forgot to include the all important lyrics ..
The lyrics are on the second part of this page :-
Of special interest is the middle section "Stand still oh Heaven and Earth" etc. To my knowledge the middle section has never been used on a vocal version. WHY ? |

Yikes ! I graduated from Wolverhampton Polytechnic with a degree in Economics in 1969. My memories of Wolverhampton, in comparison to my memories of lying on the beach in Waikiki, boggle in the brain. I can't imagine anything less likely to conjure up visions of a Sleepy Lagoon than Wolverhampton... 
That having been said, I listened to every version of Sleepy Lagoon you have on your website. First of all, I don't like any of the versions played on brass. Of the remaining, I have to say that the Basil Henriques version is the most pleasant to listen to, seconded by the Doris Day version.
Of course, there are thousands of other versions out there.... 
(but don't look for the Alan Brookes version. The world isn't ready for that yet....  ) |
