Many of our friends have asked Joan and I over the past four years if we were planning to record together. Well, we have just completed an all Gospel CD called ANGEL BAND.
The CD contains some old favorites like Satisfied, and Leaning On The Everlasting Arms (done in a swing arrangement)and some Southern Gospel greats like Dottie Rambo's, Build My Mansion Next Door To Jesus and When He Was On The Cross. The CD also has a little contemporary Christian music. And Johnny also makes his singing debut with the Jake Hess classic, Prayer is The Key To Heaven. There is something for everyone on this one. (sorry, no rap gospel). There are 11 songs in all, and for the first time we will offer a Rhythm track CD.
CD's will be priced at $15.00 ea. plus $2.00
S&H in the U.S.
Rhythm Tracks will be $12.00 plus $2.00 S&H.
This new project will be available Memorial Day weekend at the OSGA show in Tulsa and available for mail order at that time.

Thanks all of you for your response. Joan and I are very anxious to get this CD out. Jr. you'll get yours in Tulsa.
Ken, just e-mail me your address again and I will send yours asap.
Tom, Jams are few and far between these days. The Time Jumpers are at the Station Inn on Monday nights at 8:30 but not on memorial day. Hope to meet your bandleader.

Johnny: My order will be in the mail as soon as I can get off my wife's computer. Mine is still at Radio Shack !! Remember: Candies Dandy but Tandy is a rip off.....
Last weekend we listened to you both Friday and Saturday on WSM. The work you did on Don't You Ever Get Tired... with Jack Green was more than I can bear !! Is there any chance you could give us a clue as to what you were doing ?? Perhaps in the Tab Forum.
I think Joan did something like that on her album but I heard that at a friends house so I can't say for sure.
Regards, Paul |

Hey John and Joan. I NEED one of these. Are you going to sell them at the July 9th 2002 SuperJam XI, featuring Big E and Hal Rug? (Had to get the plug in there). If so, I could pick it up there. With quality players like you and Joan, there's no doubt in my mind that this will become my new favorite. In other words folks, if THEY, theirselves, are excited about it, it's gotta be mind-blowing. |

Abraham..thanks for the good words..we'll probably have some there at the jam in July. Johnny just got them yesterday, and they are really sharp looking. I'm really proud of this one. He and I have been wanting to do a recording together for about four years now, and it is done now. Thanks for you interest. See you in July.
