I went to Jerry Newberry's in Arkansas today to get the feel of the G2 before the Dallas Show next week. I was going to try out a few others at the show and then have to hurry back home to tend to a bunch of farm animals. To make a long story short, I hope you all get a chance to sit behind what I think is the state of the art steel. I have never felt a smoother guitar with firm stops on pedals and knee levers in all of the last few years I have tried. And the sustain and tone just has to be heard by your own ears. I now know what the hype is and I bought a Universal G2 today. I am so anxious to have it built and get it home. I am sure I will have to let everyone take a test drive at the steel club meetings but that's what it's all about. Thank you Jerry Newberry and Mike Mantey for your helpfulness. The guitar will sell itself and I'm glad I got my order in now because I'm pretty sure you guys are going to be really busy. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

p.s. Oh yeah, forgot to tell you... don't need compensators anymore (no cab drop) and string hysterisis is a thing of the past... I'm in heaven.

p.p.s. I would like to thank Danny Naccarato and Michael McGee for their assistance in helping me make a decision on my copedent.

Ray, I ordered the Universal-12 in black. Debbie could not understand the black thing. Jerry and I tried to explain it and she almost put her checkbook away because she thought we were trying to buffalo her! Ray, you will be the first person I let sit behind this beauty but I'm sure I will want to take it to Eddie Lane just to help me adjust a few of the new levers I have chosen. It's got lots of goodies.
