| I have a double 9, with 6 pedals, that I may consider selling. Just wondering if there are any collectors that are interested in the guitar, I am in the process of cleaning and buffing the guitar. It has all natural finish with the orginal case. Guitar is in good working condition, just needs cleaning. Is there anyone out there that could give me their opinion of the approx. value of this item? |

| Just FYI, a double 9 would most likely be slightly later than -57-58. That does not mean that it'd be any less desirable of course, it's just that the first Buds were made in -57 and there really weren't many of them and they were all eight string guitars. I used to have a D9 with six pedals and that was from -60-62. Buddy has a D9 on the cover of a Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree LP, similar to what I had. Does yours have a non roller nut?? Mine was like that, I think roller nuts didn't come up until -63. In any case, these are beautiful and terrific sounding guitars. |

| My '59 Perm does not have roller nuts. My first-run Fingertip has the rollers that are actually ball ends. |

You're right, Al Udeen's guitar is one like that. Another one is Buddy Emmons' first Bud which he sold to Pete Drake and was later converted to 10 string necks. |

| You mean the ones I mentioned?? I think Al's guitar had metal endplates but I'm not sure. I have seen a picture of it but don't remember right now. Buddy's guitar was all wood, as was the first D8 for Ben Keith. Bobby Garrett's D10 was all wood too. |

My ā57 Dā8 Sho-Bud with 5-pedals was also converted to a Dā9 with 6-pedals by Shot in the summer of 1960. It was Natural Finish w/ White Necks and an All-Wood Body w/o Roller-Nut. Dā8 had a 25ā scale and Dā9 had a 24ā scale. These were both Perminent-Setup with 1/2ā radius bridge.
