I just wanted to take a minute and comment about the show last weekend. I thought it was the best show Rick's had since he started doing them. I had never heard Buck Reid before, but he now has a new fan. He's a monster picker. Of course Jimmy & Russ were great as usual. Herby just always keeps the level at the highest and John H. brought tears to my eyes both days. Mike Sigler had both Herby and John on their toes when they did the Rag, once he got his picks on straight. It was so nice to meet Danny Hullihen and chat with him. He and Jerry Brightman were super together. And that sure is a pretty guitar, Danny. David Spires was awesome. So is his little brother. What was his name, Brent Who? There were so many great players that if I tried to say something about all of them, I'm sure to forget someone and I don't want to do that. It was simply fantastic. If you didn't make this one you missed a good one. Five Hall of Fame players in the line-up. Not bad!!!!!!

Thanks for the nice compliments, Jim, and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the show. Jerry and I had a great time together, and we're both looking forward to doing it again for sure! |
