Jerry is one of the best musicians who ever sat behind a pedal steel! His version of Lush Life is incredible! |

Wow, thanks for all the kind words, everyone. I originally made that website for a few interested friends and family members, but I designated it as my website on forum posts because I thought some steel players might like to hear some of what's there.
What do need a CD for? I'm giving you the music for free!
I think sometimes about doing a jazz steel CD with good players, but I really don't think my playing is up the level it would have to be to pull off a project like that. Being a multi-instrumentalist, and having a full-time day job means that it's hard to get really good at any one thing, like steel guitar...
At home, I can do enough takes to get it right, and even if it lacks the spontaneity and excitement of a good live jazz session with world class players, at least I can have fun producing something, and if a few people hear it and dig it, that's great, too.
Maybe when I retire, I can find the time to focus on my jazz steel playing, If I can still remember how to play by that time...
The like posted above takes you to an old site, but you can still get there from the link within, or just use the www button below.
Thanks again,
Jerry |
