This guitar is as new still has the tag on it, was traded for with a Dobro. Richard does not know how to play and wants to sell after he bought it. It still has the tag and plastic on it, looks like it came from the factory.I don't think he played it , I just pluged it in sounds good.

$200.00 Pluss shipping.

Thanks, steve t

It has a nice case soft hard, the color is as you see, locking keys ?? the tuning keys are normal, this guitar still has the plastic cover on pickups and and pick guardd, the case in new as is the guitar, the color on my monitor is as it looks in real life, there is a black strap also still wraped up, I would buy this one if I had not just bought the guitar of my dreams, a thin hollow body.

Sorry, Ernest, is the color green or blue? I can't tell from the photo. I asked about the locking tuners because it was my understanding that these guitars came wth them. Thanks, steve t

Thanks on the color, Earnest. Locking tuners are bulit to hold the stirng in place once it is threaded through the hole in the tuner peg to help prevent the string from slipping. It also elimnates having to wind the string around the peg several times and thus saves. time. Here are a couple explanations I found:

1. Gotoh Magnum Lock explanation:

Eliminating the "string wraps" around tuning machine posts is a great asset when keeping vibrato-equipped guitars in tune without the use of troublesome clamps and fine tuners.

By locking the strings on the post, only half a turn is required to bring most strings up to pitch, allowing the string to return to its original position after bending or slackening off during dive bombing. The device is self-locking (string is clamped in place by the simple act of tuning to pitch).

2. Grover locking tuning machines
This is the best part - there is no thumb wheel or other type of wheel that you must turn in order to lock the string in the tuner. It is automatic. You insert the string thru the hole, then turn the tuning knob. An inner cylinder rotates inside the peg post and locks the string, after which the peg post begins to turn, tightening the string. It is much simpler than the explanation!

Again, I thought these Alavarezguitars were equipped with such tuners; perhaps they are not. I've never used them but would like to try. All the best, steve t

Ernest, I am seriously interrested in the guitar. Does the owner know the model name or number and are the tuners the locking variety? Thanks James, I could not tell if it was green or blue. Thanks, steve
