Tuedsay is the NTSGA superjam at Bellcove Inn in beautiful downtown by the lake Hendersonville, Tn. featured players will be:
First set:
Abraham (I can't spell his last name but I know him)
Bill Crook
Nick Reed
Second Set:
Bucky Reid
Wayne Dahl
Hal Rugg
Third set
Don Helms
Lloyd L. Green
The third set will be an hour of nothing but Hank Williams songs made famous by he and Don Helms. Don will play them as he did on the original recording and Lloyd will play them as they would have sounded if cut today. This promises to be one of the best jams yet! Come to think of it, there hasn't been a bad one. The first set starts at 7 PM. and the cost is $5.00 per person. |

Mike,
How late is it likely to run? I'm rehearsing that day somewhere in Hendersonville - I don't know when WE finish but, if there's a chance the Jam will still be going on, I'll come straight over!

Superjam #9 was the largest attended jam with over 200 in attendance. Abraham Stokla burned the strings up on his guitar, Nick Reed and Bill Crook certainly held their own with him and all three complimented each other. Great playing guys! The second set was Bucky Reid on his new JCH, Wayne Dahl on his LeGrande II and Hal Rugg on his Zoom. This was the jazz set with beautiful ballads included by these three great players. To me, Hal Rugg is the "King of Jazz" and certainly Wayne and Bucky didn't take a back seat on any number. These guys are great. I posted about the last set in steel players section under Don Helms, Lloyd Green and Hank Williams. This was the "icing on the cake" for the evening. Also, Buddy Emmons was in attendance visiting with old friends and taking in the music. I would mention the person who put this jam together but I can't spell his name so ask Lloyd Green who it was as he was going to announce it but unfortunately he had a "Bad Mike"! |
