On Monday March 17 through Thursday March 20 I’ll be in Alcoa Tennessee, which appears to be very close to Pigeon Forge, and Knoxville. For those 4 evenings can anyone recommend some live music night spots with jazz, western swing, bluegrass, or any kind of pedal steel music? |

Bryan,
I live next door to Alcoa. Being here for those particular nights, Monday through Thurs., I don't know. I do know on Monday, Fri, and Sat. nights there is bluegrass jamming in Maryville, again right next door to Alcoa..
There are different sport bars and restauarants in and around Maryville that have live music. I will have to check out the paper when the time gets a little closer and let you know your options.

Thanks Dennis. I'll check back with you as the time approaches. It sounds as though Maryville may have some interesting activities for me to take in.
I have to say that exactly 2 years ago I had a very enjoyable business trip to Nashville. I spent almost every evening at the Station Inn, and enjoyed swing with the Time Jumpers on Monday, bluegrass with the proprietor's (J.T. Gray) bluegrass band Wednesday, and then on Thursday, a difficult to categorize evening with Rob Ickes' then-new Three Ring Circle. |
