This ranked as one of the BEST Southern Steel Guitar Conventions, in Saluda, SC, EVER! Special guest Terry Crisp absolutely set the building on fire. John Hughey was to have been the special guest, and I know he was smiling that smile on all of us. Charles Reece playing again, Herby Wallace---Great to see you, my Brother. Larry Moore, I love ya, man. You played super, and I know that pretty lady was smiling as she watched you play. Thanks to Ben Brogdon, who showed up with Herby, so we were able to leave the moron locked in the car most of Saturday night  --Brett Crisp, keep gettin' it, son!
The Georgia Gang---Man, we couldn't even HAVE a convention without you guys. Jerry Reece all over the place---I just want to thank ALL of you who came and played, listened, laughed, cried, and made THIS show a very special reunion.

I agree with you one hundred percent, Steve. This was one of the best shows we've ever done. Every player and singer was great and, we had a great crowd!

| I had a blast! On behalf of Terry, Christy, Don, and myself, Thanks for having the whole Crisp family down there! It was a great show. Herby Wallace was fantastic as always! Brett Day on the GFI sounded great also. What made my day was Terry doing, "At E's" for me, and Christy doing Hwy 40 Blues. Noone will ever know what Terry and Christy mean to me. They are just incredible people. To clear it up, Terry & Christy are actually my cousins. But i prefer to think of them as my Aunt and Uncle. I hope to make it again in the future. Good to see alot of other people that i havent seen in years too! -BC |

I would like to thank all the Staff at Saluda SC Show. Charles Jerry Stephen.
Bill Ferguson thank you for insisting on me coming down with you and Roger Crawford. I needed a time to get away from all that was going on so I went, I think Yvonne would have wanted me to go she love the Saluda Show.
Lots of people have said that it was one big family reunion and it is.
The Staff Band well what can you say. Woody Ledford, Johnny Thomas, Jim Hartley, Wayne Smith, Jerry Reece, Ben Brodgon, and all that I have left out.
Thank you Herby Wallace for the special song for Yvonne I know she loved it..
I know I have missed someone so please forgive me I am just overwhelmed with the love shown to me and Yvonne.
Thanks again and I’ll be seeing you down the road somewhere.

A great time with the "steel guitar family". Folks, it really is like a family. The love and gratitude that everyone shows is really the evidence of a wonderful family. The music couldn't be better.

Dr.Bob,I agree.
The visiting and catching up on news, greeting old friends, and making new friends..a "great ride".And the picking??? Just icing on the cake..
My thanks to the staff,and members and volunteers at the Saluda show..kudos to all of you, and once again,thanks for the invitation.
