Hi Mickey,
Thanks for including the changes on Lush Life,wish I could hear all that.A question...I`m guessing that the song would be in the key of Dflat,yet so many of the chords are in other key areas.When you solo over a song like that,do you treat each non-key of D flat chord individually,or what?That always amazed about jazz players,how they can weave melodies through chord progressions that seem to change key every measure.It seems an impossibility to keep track of all that going on and improvise a melody to boot.Is there a way to simplify the process,or do ya just hammer away at it til the fog clears?

beats me - I couldn't solo over that to save my life ! It took me long enough just to work out the harmonised melody.
Maybe a real jazz player will chip in ..
