Walter
Good morning from England.
I don't know who it is, but that to me, is exquisite, innovative, and precise steel work.
My guess would be Myrick or Franklyn.

I'd say either Doug Jernigan of J.D. Maness. Wish it were me. WOW, great picking. _________________ Henry Matthews

Hi Walther
This is my guess
It reminds me of a lp with a group called Cowboy Jazz. Their steeler were Barry Sless. |

Thomas, you got it. Cowboy Jazz was a group from Maryland that recorded two albums on Rounder, this track comes from their album 1982 album "Swing Boogie", the steel player is a guy named Barry Sless - anybody having information about him? He also did the lead guitar work for the group, really a great musician!
