I am having problems getting a clean sound using this combo. I cant seem to find a clean setting balancing the front volume and rear master volume on the espa and the volume on the Stewart world 1.2 power amp. There is just a terrible distortion if the preamp volume is off slightly...really noticeable on the C-6 side.

How are you guys using setting the volumes on this combo . I have my espa front volume at 1-2 rear at 3-4 and Stewart at about the 9-10 o'clock position. These work but are still a little gritty sounding. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks, Trap

i used these for years
run power amp wide open
then start with first volume anywhere
next volume a little higher
the run the effects a litter higher an so on
when you cut the power amp down it chokes
it and it will distort at loud volume
i learned this from john hughey
turn each one up till you reach MACH 4
THEN YOU CAN HANG WITH ANY TELCASTER ON THE
BAND STAND HA HA-------
Always worked for me
