Hi Charlie , I sent you an E-mail. Maybe we can get together !! ?? I did some non-pedal vinyl L.P.s back in the early 60s. Some old country and semi-pop things. Nothing very great but maybe we can swap some stuff on tapes ?? What does "DYKBC" mean ??? TTYL Eddie "C" ( the other old non-pedal geezer )

Terry K.

I don't think it's ment to be about who's better, I'd just like to hear what some of the other folks sound like.

I don't have the capabilities or the know how to post music clips, and I'm sure there may be others like that, so this may be a way for us to hear some of our Forum friends playing our favorite instrument, or in my case torturing it! Laughing

Hey Charlie, check out my stuff both on my web site, and in the link in the "steel on the web" page.

I have to warn you: there is absolutely no relationship between the music I play and anything even remotely resembling country music. You may love it, or you may hate it, but either way you'll have to agree that you've never heard anything like it before.

If you like what you hear I'll send you some more.

What does DYKBC mean?

Mike,if its played on steel I like it,Hard core country,Rock,Jazz,Blues,Always looking for something different,That's why I asked you about an article you wrote[maybe you did'nt see my post]about Juju music and the guy you knew Demola Adepoju who played it.I've had your Firebird Suite for over ten years, still pull it out once in a while and listen to it,My favorite piece is Prelude to the Afternoon Of A Faun.I just love to hear good music played on the STEELguitar.DYKBC.

Charlie, I'm glad you like my Firebird Suite CD, and I agree that Afternoon Of A Faun is the best thing on it. (Note: for those who haven't heard this, there is an MP3 of it on my web site you can listen to. The piece is 12 minutes long.)

But I believe that my West Side Story CD, although very different, is the better of the 2, and my current project is so close to completion that I expect to take it to be mastered in 2 or 3 days.

Charlie, If you send me your mailing address I'll send you a West Side Story CD.
