Another one of our better meetings. Good responsive crowd and good pickin'. Jody Cameron handled the teaching segment on using scales for speed pickin'. The Players : John Coffman-S10 GFI, Brandon Ordoyne-D10 Emmons, Jody Cameron-D10 Fessenden, Roger Edginton-D10 Zum, Eric Corgey-D10 Emmons, Bobby Bowman-D10 Emmons. Jody Sanders-D10 Pedalmaster. It was so nice to have Dale Thomas as our featured player. Dale plays a D10 Rains. Dale treated us to a great variety of tunes and showed that he can play the fills while he is singing. It is harder to do than you might think. Dale and his beautiful Carol are from West Branch, Iowa. The band : Billy Phelps-Guitar, Russ Rickman, Patty Phelps, James Harvey, and Larry Schoppe on Bass, Igor on Drums. The vocalists : Gene Brogden, Jac Rickman, Dennis Lobell and Larry Schoppe. The JAM PLAYERS : Brandon Ordoyne, Jody Cameron, Dale Thomas ,Rodger Edgington, Eric Corgey, and Bobby Bowman. Thanks to Jim Saunders for bringing the water and sodas. We sure appreciate Rodger Edgington and his lovely bride all the way from San Antonio. Nice to see two old friends. Harley Humphrey and Lee Barber. A special thanks to Bill and Patty Phelps for all they do to keep our club operating. No meeting in March due to preparations for the TSGA Show. Next meeting, the first Sunday in April. Thanks to all who attended. I still think it was a good looking hat. Jody, Billy, and Patty.

Hi Carroll, everyone is welcome. Most of the teaching and playing is slanted towards pedal steel. One of our teachers is a good Dobro player that you could hook up with. Contact Doug Childress in your area, as he will know what is going on there. Doug also comes to our meetings when he can. Ya'll might could ride together. Nice to hear from you, Jody.

Looks like you had a very good meeting. Sorry I missed it. I was hospitalized Monday and had two stints placed in one of the vessels on the outside of my heart. Things went well and I should be back to my normal routine in a couple of weeks (hopefully in time for the next club meeting). Really wanted to hear Dale pick....but another time maybe.

Hi Jody. Thanks for making a little room for me too. It's always nice to see my friends over there and to see my friend Dale and get to pick a little with him was a real bonus.
