I wonder if the use of a glass slide was calculated for tone, or just what was available. It's reminiscent of Dave Hole's slide playing, which automatically grabs me; the glass slide probably adds to the "sitar-ness" with a lack of real sustain. Sounded cool, wish I'd have thought of it.
