Bent Romnes..
Yes, this is the one I built in the early 70s. It was rebuilt/refinished under the close, and strict supervision of Charles Reece of CLR steel guitars of Clearwater SC, who did all the underside assembly, and setup. Check your email.

Hi,

This is a nice thread.

I run the Imperial Pub - www.imperialpub.com - in downtown Toronto with my Dad. Our family has been at it for 64 years now. I'm a carpenter / chef /webmaster /business manager /plumber /toilet cleaner /booking agent /electrician/ sound tech/ bartender /salesperson/ steel guitarist. Not even remotely in that order. I have an honours degree in contemporary philosophy. In the summers I run away up north for a while to guide extended canoe expeditions for at-risk youth here: www.canoe.org

I play pedal steel and lapstyle resophonic every spare minute I have, often forgoing sleep to pick, pick, pick the night away when I get home from the bar at 3:30am. I'm getting better every day and have some nascent bands in the works, but struggle to find people willing to stand in front of a microphone with a guitar and sing. Well, people who I can stand to play with, anyway.

I'm only twenty-five and am already exhibiting symptoms of what some of you folks call G.A.S., along with a lifestyle that would probably horrify half of you and turn the other half green with envy:

Cheers David! Here's an old photo of me and my ex girlfriend Ursula Andress. We broke up because she
kept on talking about how talented you are, and I just couldn't handle it.

Hey David,
No picture or avatar here. I am computer-challenged as well as steel guitar-challenged.
Nevertheless, I send warm greetings to all from Portales, New Mexico USA........not the end of the world, but we can see it from here.
I wish I could play like you, mate.

Cheers, John Richmond Very Happy

Hey! David, don't laugh, some things you'd rather not wear, but that was how it was, depending on who you worked for. "And the money was super good" good." Embarassed

Guess I needed to smile more. Very Happy
