This forum is facinating because you can post a thread and get replies from familiar names and see their Avitars photos or logo's.. Then you can post another and you get completely different steelies answer the thread.. OF COURSE its a thread that takes their/our interest so you feel you should make a posting..

I think there's about 6000 members here or thereabouts, so why don't we all say a big HI and a THANKS or ANYTHING you like to this thread so we can see each others avitars and WHATEVER..

Or a photo with a HELLO, this is me playing HERE or THERE..with HIM or HER..

This thread might work or might not..

I am getting to recognise many of you now and hoping to meet some of you in Dallas, but hey, lets give this a go and say HI to each other here with a PICTURE or a JOKE anything you wanna say??

How about this, if you have no AVITAR, post a picture of you on your steel or something..

lets have a go..

if it fails, its only a failed thread after all !!

PROS TOO.. PLEASE..

David Hartley

Ok David. Number 12 says hi.

Of course I can't ignore a challenge like this...
I also don't mind showing you all my playing "skills" or lack thereof here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=0RCsk82NyYI
I don't care how bad I play; at least things can only get better if I practice Smile

Here is me with my prized home built:

Most of the kl are for show only the 2 lk work properly
But I don't care about that either; the guitar is my own creation and I am mighty proud of it. And when I hit the strings, sound comes out of the amp. What more would I want?
So that was the big hi from me Very Happy

Hello David,

Here is me and Mrs. Nickle-ass overlooking the lake at Branson, Mo. We now live near Branson and have 2 mini horses, a mini donkey and 2 Quarter Horses.

The second picture is the band I play with at the Senior Citizen's Center every Friday. And, we all love your music.

The third is my babie's.

Hi, David

I'm well and truly settled in the USA now, although I still miss BBC-TV and, living in Florida, I long for some real seasons (there's no Autumn or Spring in Naples!)

I'm staying busy, though, and life is pretty good - 250+ shows last year, and a round of golf on every other day! How bad is that?

Hello to everyone. I'll be changing my avatar soon to a pic of me but until I do, here's one of my very first steel gig a few months ago. I'd only been playing for 3 or 4 weeks. I had to master just 2 tunes for the night ( a celebration of Neil Young's birthday) so I used the opportunity to get "over the hump!" And also thanks David for helping me this week via your email. Best regards to everyone, Barry

Well David, no pics as any physical attractiveness I had has long since flown the coop, but I sure will say hello and wish all the best to you and yours,,

You have become my favorite steel player lately.. Your technique and execution are flawless, your take on the songs you record is fun and uplifting, and I can tell you really love to play. I am still waiting to hear a mistake on one of your videos!!!

I understand you will be going to the Dallas show..
You should stay there in Texas and make all the local player nervous.. You would have a bunch of them looking for another line of work... In my opinion your playing is world class,as good as anyone I have ever heard... bob
