We use this old song to inroduce the band. I am playing the first part of Steel Guitar Rag for my part, but I am not a big fan of Steel Guitar Rag and would like something else. It does fit and I guess it is a good choice as far the audience reaction. Does anybody do this song and play something different? |

If and when we play it which is not all that often, I play the melody line on the 1st half of the verse and speed phrases thru the 2nd half.
And very suspiciously , the tune is very close to Rolling in My Sweet Baby's Arms so there another option for ya. |

George,
Your post brings back a memory or two...the very first band I was in back in '75-76 used this song also to intro the band...great little tune to get each band member to take a solo for a short time. |
