I'm trying to find a pickup for my dobro. Has anyone tried the ghs sound hole microphone for guitar on your dobro. How has that worked as far as feedback and having enough volume? Thanks, Cody _________________ carter pro, 66 twin revrerb, steel king, tut taylor dobro, gibson rb 250 |

I haven't heard of anyone trying this approach to amplifying a resonator guitar. Try asking (or doing a search) on the Reso-Nation forum. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

You might want to try one of the clip-on sax mics. I've been using the Audio Technic AT-35 for a few years with great results. Nice open realistic sound, good volume. |

Yes Olli, that's the one. I found one at my local music store for $75. It came with what they call the banjo attachment. A piece of wood with velcro on it and elastic straps. Looks like I can attach the unit with the output to my strap and wedge the mike under my tail piece. I plugged it into my mesa pre and steel king last night at home and it sounded great. Maybe not loud enough for my electric band but I think will work very well for my acoustic project. I have practice with the electric band today and a show with the acoustic project tonight so I'll let ya'll know what happens. ps. after the many pickups I have tried I'm very excited to get true dobro tone for a gig. _________________ carter pro, 66 twin revrerb, steel king, tut taylor dobro, gibson rb 250 |
