This has been my favorite guitar for many years and has absolutely tone to the bone and plays like a dream. Emmons set up with 9/8 in a beautiful Redburst finish on all sides, alluminum necks, cut-tail changer. I call it Redburst as it's like a Sunburst but more red than brown in the finish. This is the full back (fatback) guitar. Except for two extra knee levers on the C6 added by Duane Marrs the rest of the work was done by Mike Cass. It was refinished by A J Nelson of Sho Bud fame so you'll know how great it looks. I haven't had this guitar out of the house over five times in the last five years since it was refinished. It comes with a recovered Emmons case in Tweed and like new handle I got from Ron Lashley before he died. It's a solid instrument and the case is solid as well although normal wear on the case. Pictures on request but serious buyers only please.
$4000 plus shipping in the lower 48

I have to tell you this is one great sounding guitar, the best I ever heard anywhere. Since I posted this guitar on the forum I've been taking it out to gigs with that Fender Steel King you see behind it and it's really all I need for any gig. I wouldn't sell this guitar for just any reason as I'm not looking for another one and have been made some nice offers for trades but if it doesn't sell, it won't hurt my feelings a bit! I've sold a lot of guitars but this is the one I never wanted to sell. I found this guitar in 96 advertised in a little trade paper I picked up and bought it from Bud (can't remember his name) in Gallatin and it was so covered with filth and needed refinishing I almost passed on this guitar but I could hear the tone just plucking those strings that hadn't been changed in years unplugged. It had a ring to it like no other I'd ever played. I took it out to play that night after a quick wipe on the strings as I was in a big hurry that night and the strings were popping off all night as they were rusty and corroded but even then it still had a tone to die for. If you guys are waiting on your income tax check to buy this guitar, let me wear out a few sets of strings before you do! I'll hold it for a deposit for a while. |
